Having been a blogger and media contact for a political party for many years I'll cut straight to the fact that Facebook remains king in the social media world. There is still nothing which reaches so many people and is so easy to use and that is why I have long since abandoned Twitter, Instagram and any number of other platforms which simply do the same thing, but worse.
Again, create a dedicated page for yourself as opposed to a group or a new profile. Fill it with as much detail about yourself as you can and link everything to it.
I have always found blogging to be a much neater way of posting news and it also allows you to keep track of how many people are actually viewing and reading your stories.
